A Great pattern I really love this and one of my go-to pullovers in winter. It was easy to make and very good instructions. A definite favorite for me.

I used French terry to sew one for myself, I love how it turned out and will use this pattern again! Love notions tutorials are the best!

  5. ELiza (verified owner)

This is my hands down favorite Love Notions pattern!! Over the cold winter, I made a total of 7 for myself and my grand daughter. The pattern comes together easily and sizing is spot on. Great pattern!!!

  6. Alyssa Shramek (verified owner)

As with all love notions patterns, the directions are so clear and easy to follow. This was my first pattern that has a zipper, so I was nervous at first, but the directions brought me cleanly through how to do it well!

  7. Joen Venitsky (verified owner)

This was my second sew, and the pattern, combined with love notions sew along and online support, allowed me to make it beautiful.

  10. schroeder1987 (verified owner)

Love this one for the warmth. Directions are great. Don’t be intimidated by the zipper. There are some good hacks and examples on the blog for inspiration.

  11. karilynpittman (verified owner)

Love this pattern styling! So flattering and easy to sew. Clear and concise zipper application instructions.

  12. janamonin (verified owner)

Great fall, winter and spring staple for me. I like the different hem styles I can choose depending on fabric choice and whether or not I need my bum covered. The instructions for the zipper are great, and it comes out neat and tidy. For my second Constellation I brought up the height of the the collar a bit for more neck coverage, and that felt warmer.

  13. Margie (verified owner)

This is one of my all time favorite patterns! I’ve used it so many times and each time is a different version. Be sure to check out the sew along for great tips and hacks. This will not be a pattern that sits in your library. You’ll love it as much as I do!

  14. Margie (verified owner)

This is a fantastic pattern. I’ve used it so many times and each version is different. Be sure to check out the sew along for great tips and hacks. This isn’t a pattern that will lay in your library unused. You’ll love it as much as I do!

  15. ELiza (verified owner)

I absolutely LOVE this pattern! I have made it in both french terry and fleece for myself and my family and we wear them all winter. Instructions are clear and after reading the directions very closely, construction was not difficult. Everyone needs more than one of these!

  16. Jessica Provencher (verified owner)

HORRIBLE instructions. I hate to leave this review but beware. The instructions are awful and so hard to follow. I’ve been sewing clothes for nearly a decade and have never seen such vague instructions. You have to flip between the pdf, the videos, and the sew a long on the blog and still fill in some blanks. Unless you are an advanced sewer, this pattern is not for you.

It’s a shame instructions are so bad because the pattern really does sew up beautifully once it’s done. This was my first love notions pattern and I definitely will not use them again.

  17. Susan Wilbur (verified owner)

This is one of my favourite patterns! I’ve made one in French Terry a two in fleece. The instructions are great and I love how easy it is to insert the zipper. Highly recommend this pattern.

  18. geraldine.gasson55 (verified owner)

I made this in quite a thick fleecy fabric. As the stretch wasn’t very good the size I chose was a bit snug. I found the hood a bit big but overall it’s not bad. Will try another with a better fabric

  19. suzguisa (verified owner)

This was the first pattern I sewed, with very little adjustment. I shortened the sleeves and cuff and did a slope shoulder adjustment. I made it out of sweatshirt material with the pocket and under collar out of a thrifted tee. It went together so easily. My next one will be a lighter weight knit for cool summer nights. Thank you Love Notions for a great pattern.

This pattern gave me all the feels! Successful hack-curved yoke front and back-check! Great fit-check! Long dreamed of quarter zip to wear to basketball games-check! Already planning next season’s Constellation-husband will get one too!

  23. Lynn Hermanek (verified owner)

A wonderful pattern – and my first zipper! Don’t be afraid of the collar and zipper, there are excellent step by step instructions and videos! I have now made 4 and even sized up and made a woven one out of heavy curtain fabric. Love, love, love the curved hem!

  24. a.e.moorhouse (verified owner)

Super pattern. I used some heavily fabric I purchased last year, of course I didn’t have enough so made black contrast sleeves and hood lining. I pattern matched down the front – Successfully!! The video for putting the zip in was a fantastic help. Great top which I have worn with track patterns to go to the gym, and had loads of compliments.

I love this hoodie I think the design is modern with the half zip. I made 2 of these – one in French Terry and another in fleece back sweater knit. I love the kangaroo pocket construction. It doesn’t accentuate your stomach area. I have another planned in a thicker boucle fabric – I will size up to make it oversized. Oversized snuggly half zip tops are very popular here in the UK sewing world. Love Notions once more totally on trend.

  26. Liesel (verified owner)

I love a half zip. It’s great for nursing, and color blocking. I love that this pattern also comes in sizes for the whole family! My husband still wears his version regularly, several years later!
