Were the instructions easy to follow?
Immensely so ! I have never had a problem with Love Notions tutorials, they are clear, concise, and very thorough.
What did you particularly like or dislike about the pattern?
I love the options, it will be easy to make several shirts from this for my little girl for the entire year, and not have them look like cookie cutters of one another.
I’m not super keen on the maternity-like look the heavier material gave this, but that was my fabric choice, not an issue with the pattern.
Fabric Used:
I used a sweater knit / sweatshirt fleece that I found at a local thrift store for the main parts of the tunic.
The neck band is done in a jersey knit.
I use Pellon Knit & Stable on the hemline.
Would you sew it again? Would you recommend it to others?
Yes, yes, and yes !!
Conclusion:
A wonderful pattern that you could base a wardrobe around easily.
It’s a relatively quick sew, and has some very cute details.
It’s cute, modern, and yet modest – perfect for today’s preteens.

first, I want to say great job for the testers!! I really think the varieties of photos encourage me to try something new! So I made the yoke portion a thick white lace, bodice and short sleeve Art Gallery floral knit. Really cute on my little girl~ So far, one of her fav dresses~

This was my first Love Notions sew. I saw all the cute girls patterns and took the plunge and bought several. This pattern didn’t disappoint. It turned out very cute. She wore it for her 3rd grade pictures at school.

This was our fav top of choice this summer for my 2 year old!! Love how I could get a light summery top out of a minimum of fabric. I used solids for the sleeves and yoke/binding, and a print fot the skirt and was surpised how little fabric was actually used in my precious prints! This has quickly become a staple for us!

I have made several combinations of this tunic and my eight year old daughter loves them all. I love being able to make her a one of a kind tunic that no one else is wearing. Mum’s always comment on how cute this tunic is and how well it fits, I am always asked where I purchased it from. This is a fantastic pattern for using up all of your fabric and my daughter loves minions so just imagine how excited she was to get a minion Mary Mack tunic. The pattern is easy to follow an adapt and the different fabric possibilities and design options make every tunic different, I love this pattern.

I made 4 Christmas pajamas from this pattern last year and they turned out adorable. I made them in knit and used ribbing for the neck line and a strip of it for contrast piping between the yoke and bodice front…super cute. For the older girls I lengthened them into nightgowns and for the toddler I made the top and added pajama leggings as the bottoms. My single hiccup was that the neck hole was too tight if I matched size to body measurement for the girls. I had to size up so they could get their heads through the hole.

This is one of my all time favourite patterns, I love it so much! Have made about 6 this past year for my granddaughter who is nearly 2. It’s just such a lovely comfortable tunic for her to run about and play in and looks absolutely adorable on her with leggings. I added a neckband instead of the binding as I prefer the look and stretch of ribbing. The pattern is very well made and fits together like a dream with great instructions. Just Perfect! Thank you 🙂

This is a great and versatile pattern. I used knit fabric for the bodice and sleeves and cotton for the skirt section. I did add length to make this dress length. Perfect and versatile pattern.

My daughter and I absolutely love this pattern! I’ve made her several shirts with it, but I’ve also lengthened it into some of her favorite nightgowns.
