This is my fall/spring layering go-to pattern. I’ve made 3 (and one for my mom) and will be making another one when the colder weather hits again. The zipper was intimidating, but the instructions made it easy.

Love this vest! The seamlines allow you to tailor it perfectly for a beautiful fit and you can use a wide range of fabrics, from dressy to sporty.

What a winning pattern, I made two of these. One in navy and one in light blue padded velvet! Such a stylish addition to my winter wardrobe. Well done on the design of this one!

I made an Oakley vest out of quilted knit and I love it! The fit is great, I plan to make more. I like that it has options for different pockets too.

Perfect for fall!

I made the lined faux fur version of this for my daughter. Having the full bust pattern option available to print without having to make the alterations myself is one of the things I loved about this pattern. My granddaughter loves that she and Mom can wear their matching vests as I made her the Acorn and she made the Peanut vest for her doll.

I love this vest and plan on making another one, quilted this time. On the first one, I used a really nice faux fur with a lining. I still plan on sewing in some hooks so I can close it it but have already worn it loose and got lots of compliments. I plan to use the leftover faux fur to use as a collar on the Octave coat pattern that I just bought.

The instructions made this go together so quickly! The seam lines offer such ease for dialing in your custom fit! My next one will be from faux fur!

If you’ve been looking for a vest pattern but can’t seem to find the right one…look no further. This vest pattern is very flexible. Two different pocket options offered me exactly what I needed to make two completely different looking vests. A hood option for color blocking potential and a great binding tutorial. This pattern goes beyond most others when it comes to binding. It has detailed pictures and a video how to link. For visual learners this is huge.

I love the variety & versatility of this pattern. I can make different & fun versions depending on the fabric. It is the perfect layering piece for my ever changing weather in Chicago.

This is a wonderful pattern! I made View B with the bias bound pockets, zipper and collar in a Buffalo plaid. The bias was easy to apply using the instructions in the pattern, and the finished result looks so clean. I think this was the best thing to sew for Fall with less than two yards of fabric! I look forward to trying the other Views too!

I have only been sewing a few months, and this pattern challenged me to learn how to do binding with bias tape, and also princess seams. I used View C. When I was a little confused on the princess seams, I asked a question on the very helpful Love Notions Facebook Group, and had an answer within 5 minutes. My vest came out perfect. This is a great pattern by a company with fabulous support and community. Highly recommended!

I made the View C with a hoodie. It’s so easy to put together! I just love it. It fits perfectly and the instructions are easy to follow. Now it’s getting hot over here, but I think this one will be my “to go” vest pattern!

This vest is built just right, had to do a full bust adjustment for the friend i was making it for and then she wanted extra length both changes were easily made and the vest fits perfectly.

I was intimidated by the princess seams before making it but I shouldn’t have: it’s very easy, it comes together in no time and everything magically aligns perfectly even without much sewing experience. It fitted beautifully without any alterations. I highly recommend this pattern.

I made a pink fur vest with Oakley for 4-H open class and it was so straightforward and easy! I wasn’t sure about sewing with the fur, and handling pockets and the lining, but the instructions made it a breeze. I get so many compliments!!

I wanted to recreate Tessa’s red buffalo print vest that is on the pattern front. I absolutely LOVE my vest. It was super easy to sew and came out great. I bought some double sided pre-quilted fabric from JoAnn Fabrics. I love wearing my Oakley vest with my Aria shirt. It’s such a classy yet low-key look to wear with my Legato jeans or Resolution yoga pant.

I sewed view c lined w view b, custom size lining pockets makes this a great hands free shopping!

So far I have made 3 women’s (and 1 men’s) of these vests using quilted Alpha Direct, Polartec Windpro Stretch, Fleece backed Polartec. Great fit. clear directions. Love the projection pattern. No more paper in my house!

I wasn’t sure if I could do the binding on the pockets. Well, nothing to worry about. The instructions are straight forward and my vest turned out really well. I made mine out of refashioned jeans and added toggle buttons. Added facings to the front area, as per Karina’s instructions video on “Lifting Pins and Needles” So cute 🙂 Highly recommend Love Notions Patterns.
