I made my muslin with a peach skin fabric. The instructions are great, and I love that the pattern pieces are trim-less. Binding the opening in the neckline was tricky because the fabric frayed and it was tricky not distorting the shape of the cut out. Next time I’ll omit the cut out in the neckline.

  2. EvaSaga (verified owner)

At last I have found a pattern in woven fabric that fits me over the shoulder without tightening.
I’m getting pain when clothes is tightening after removing a piece of my clavicle. It´s a great pattern, perfect in size.
THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS PATTERN

  3. Karen (verified owner)

I love the versatility of this pattern and the ease of putting it together. It was my first Love Notions pattern and Im about to buy my second ?

  4. Karen (verified owner)

I made two Rhapsody in the sew-a-long. One in rayon and one in a cotton lawn. Both turned out great. The instructions in the pattern are clear and easy to follow. I liked the links to the videos in there as well! I’ve just bought fabric for three more!!

  5. Glenda (verified owner)

I love this pattern! I’ve made it twice now…once in a rayon and once in a very lightweight cotton blend. Both are in high rotation in my summer wardrobe. This is a garment that captures the current “Boho” trend, without being too loose. I love the creative possibilities of this pattern and am looking forward to making it for fall. The pattern is carefully written. Sizing was spot on for me. Just carefully measured my body then print and cut the size(s) that I needed. I have wide, square shoulders to I needed to go up a size for the bodice, then grade back down for the body. Worked beautifully. Thank you Tami!

  6. Kelsey (verified owner)

My first and definitely not my last woven pattern! It was a perfect fit, always is!

  7. Trista

The perfect woven top. Very flattering and pretty on.

  8. Karen (verified owner)

I’ve made several Rhapsody’s now and love them all. Its a great pattern. easy to read and easy to follow. The sew-a-long on the blog is great too.

  9. Anne (verified owner)

I love this pattern! It’s easy to sew and looks great on. I’ve made two so far!

  10. Elena (verified owner)

I have made four versions of this pattern three of the shirt style in different fabrics ( including a sheer chiffon) and one with the dress add on, and they have all turned out perfectly. Very easy to assemble and sew and a great pattern for learning and practicing the burrito method. Very clear instructions and great links to extra information. This pattern is open to creating so many different options you could have dozens of these and they would all look different. I own and sew up a lot of Love Notions patterns, and this would have to be my favourite by far.

  11. Erika Katuin (verified owner)

Easy to sew and great fit the first time. I will definitely make more. My husband commented that it fits great. He said this pattern is a winner.

  12. cabral_shana (verified owner)

I love this pattern. It looks like it could be tricky to make, but the instructions made it so easy. It’s a very flattering style for so many body types and I love all the sleeve options.

  13. Hannah Carriere (verified owner)

I’m so excited to try this top ( and dress!). From experience I know the instructions will be easy to follow as Love Notions is amazing in this department! The finished products I’ve seen are all lovely.

  14. Kelli (verified owner)

This pattern was easy to sew up and has the cutest little details. Im excited to try the dress option soon.

  15. Gail Pelton (verified owner)

I have not made this yet, but I am so inspired by everyone makes! I have this the pattern, and the material for both the muslin and some killer cheers print!

  16. Ann (verified owner)

The Rhapsody is my favorite pattern, It can be ANYTHING. Want a short sleeve shirt to wear to the park this summer? Looking to re-live your hippie days of the 60’s and 70’s? (OK, showing my age.) Determined to look great when you’re able to go back to work instead of surviving endless Zoom meetings? Jus trying to hide those COVID pounds you put on in the last year? It’s anything you want it to be. I was surprised to see that I have purchased 51 Love Notions patterns thus far. Then again I’m not surprised at all. Can’t wait for the next one!

  17. mommurri08 (verified owner)

I love this pattern – so many options! Great fit and great style!!!!!

  18. Kristi Morrow (verified owner)

I’m in love with the Rhapsody Top!! I haven’t sewn wovens in forever and was a bit worried about the French seams and bias tape, but the pattern instructions were so clear and easy to follow and the results are absolutely stunning!! I just finished my first this afternoon for my mom for Mother’s Day and have already purchased several more pieces of fabric to try other sleeve variations, as well as the “closed” v hack that I saw. I can see this top working for all seasons spring through winter. Great all around wardrobe staple!

  19. Patricia Wilson (verified owner)

I have not made this yet, but I have the fabric and I can’t wait to get started. It is such a pretty design. After reading the instructions, it looks like it will be easy to put together too.

  20. Margaret Eames (verified owner)

    Wow.
I took the plunge and I’m so pleased I did. I’ve made 2 Rhapsody blouses with short sleeves and ties. At the moment I’ve another blouse almost finished and I’ve learned so much in particular, make with lightweight fabric or cotton so drape is good. I can certainly see that more Rhapsody versions are going to be on my cutting table …. you can never have too many. Beautiful

  21. crishdon (verified owner)

I really LOVE this pattern. I thought it was going to be difficult at first but i just dove right in and made two of them the first day I got it (one with short sleeves and one sleeveless). Will be making more as soon as I get more fabric.

  22. lindaclbc (verified owner)

Just purchased this yesterday and have it planned for some rayon batik fabric I have. Hopefully will get it started this week.

  23. Terry Erickson

Love this pattern! My muslin is wearable and very cute. From there I have made three more. Great instructions and videos if you need more help. Highly recommend!

  24. Terrie (verified owner)

The first woven pattern I’ve tried since getting back into garment sewing recently. I was terrified to try it because it has so many neat details, but the instructions are easy to follow. I’ve made two now (one for me and one for our daughter) and love both of them. I have fabric to make two more!

  25. Elona Earley (verified owner)

This has got to be my favorite LN pattern! I’ve made the flutter sleeve, the bishop sleeve, and a dress last summer with the update. I get so many compliments when I wear these blouses and they’re fabulous to sew up. I really like the bias faced neckline instead of facings. This is the first pattern I have successfully used French seams and it’s such a lovely detail. The video is very helpful for the burrito method as well!

  26. Sheri Huerd (verified owner)

Yes! This is my first Love Notions pattern. I made this top with the 3/4 bishop sleeve. It fits well through the shoulders, and I might do a full bust adjustment next time. I’m cutting out the flutter sleeve version this week for summer.

  27. thats_my_horse (verified owner)

This top/dress is so pretty! I love how many options come with this one pattern, and the alterations I made to fit me where minimal, which is amazing.

  28. Nicole Gille (verified owner)

I have made two of these, one short sleeved and one tank version. It is a really cute top. I have found with all Love Notions patterns the instructions have a way of making something that seems complicated easy to do. What I really love about Love Notions is the links to video instructions at all the tricky spots. I have learned so many new skills sewing Love Notions patterns and have never struggled or gotten frustrated.

  29. Rachel McCarty (verified owner)

I was on the hunt for a good woven pattern and I think I’ve found it! I love the little details with the pleats and the options. Great for a dressy shirt or dress or for a casual breezy summer outfit!

  30. brooke (verified owner)

On of my top favorite clothing items to sew!! There are so many options and it’s flattering on every shape!

  31. Sharon Duddleston (verified owner)

Love the flattering look of this garment I am currently making my muslin version to ensure a good fit and trying the technique for the neckline before I cut into my lovely fabric. Can’t wait to get it done So many lovely patterns here at LN and so little time!

  32. Bren Holmes (verified owner)

I absolutely love this top. I am now making number four and I only started making them this week. Had I read that it was an intermediate pattern I may not have attempted it, as I’ve not sewn clothes for some time. As it is, I had absolutely no issues with the pattern or the sewing, other than those from sewing a cheap and nasty rayon from my stash. I hadn’t used the burrito method previously, but the instructions are excellent. I got a good fit with a little grading but needed no further tweaking and the length is just perfect. I have made both the short and flutter sleeve options so far, both are lovely. I shall do an elasticated bishop sleeve on the one under the needle right now. It’s such a comfortable top to wear as well. The next one will be the dress option.

  33. Dorene Kemp (verified owner)

I love, love, love this pattern and I love wearing this top. So many options make it possible to have many of the same top with many different looks. Thank you for such a versatile pattern!

  34. Renee Shepherd (verified owner)

I have made two of these! I love this pattern.

  35. Jaye Holland (verified owner)

This was my first quarantine sew! Super simple pattern and I even learned how to make bias tape! The video instructions are always helpful!

  36. tracyandcarol (verified owner)

Couldn’t find the perfect dress for my daughter’s wedding so I turned to this pattern. It was perfect! I loved the fit and the design that made it so comfortable and cool and flattering. Hacked the neckline for a closed look – so happy with the results.

  37. ELiza (verified owner)

Love this pattern! Versatile, full bust options (YES!), sews up quickly, and has tons of lovely details like sleeve options, dress options, and tie. The neck can get fiddly but the instructions are great!

  38. Hayley Lown (verified owner)

I made one for a friends bridal shower and it’s stunning!

  39. Joen Venitsky (verified owner)

This is one of my favorite patterns! I have made three tops and plan on making more. This fit it perfect.

  40. Aine Henderson (verified owner)

As everyone says, this is a perfect pattern. Easy to make, fits perfectly. I have made the top and a dress (needed to lengthen the bodice on the dress). I can see more being made .

  41. Staci (verified owner)

Love, love this pattern! This was my first pattern to make and use binding. The instructions were great for this! Love how effortless and beautiful this top is. The dress is one of my favorites! It is super flattering with the elastic waist!

  42. schroeder1987 (verified owner)

This is a wonderful woven top. Made in a rayon challis, chambray and wool twill. Drafted a facing to eliminate the bias binding on the wool as it was loosely woven. My favorite top. The video was very helpful. The cut is flattering. A pattern that can be used time and time again.

  43. Sheri Fetter (verified owner)

Fantastic Pattern!… I made it it in an animal print Rayon Poplin… you can check out a photo on IG @Gigis.Sewing.Adventures. I am a short-waisted 5’4″ so I shortened the bodice by 1.5 inches. I am more of a straight silhouette so I cut a L at the shoulders and waist and graded in to a M at the hips. I have worn this top with a skirt, with linen pants, jeans and I am looking to wear with with some shorts when the weather gets hotter. you cannot go wrong with this pattern it is so versatile.

  44. janetpayne (verified owner)

Enjoyed making this pattern and looking forward to making more.

  45. Mic Cas (verified owner)

I am looking forward to making this in a dress and I am starting to figure out how to make a capsule wardrobe and I look forward to adding this pattern in multiple fabrics in my closet.

  46. Toni Stoothoff (verified owner)

LOVE this dress! It is so flattering and the pattern is easy to follow.

  47. design-5799 (verified owner)

I’m pretty new to garment sewing with this being the first I have sewn in over 30 years. The first time I made the top was in the class. The second time I was on my own and all the info provided in the directions helped me at each and every spot. Cannot wait to make some more of the patterns I have purchased

  48. Ambre Kern (verified owner)

A very easy pattern and instructions

  49. Deneane Keane (verified owner)

Until I started using Love Notions I had only attempted woven patterns and never with much success…so I was kind of avoiding them…until the Rhapsody. It wasn’t difficult, and my first attempt actually tuned out pretty great. Next time I will be sure to use a fabric with a little better drape (as the pattern recommends) because the plain cotton is a bit stiff, but the fit is great!

  50. Jennifer Lee (verified owner)

I had held off making this pattern, but finally decided to tackle it. The instructions were very clear. The instructions were full of video links and tutorial links. Learned a very unique way of making bias binding from a very small piece of fabric through a link in the pattern.

  51. sewtosowjesus (verified owner)

Wow! I love this pattern! I have sewn 3 blouses and a dress so far. I love the fit and the options are great! Another great must have pattern!

  52. Kavita Deepchand (verified owner)

I have made several versions of this great pattern. Next on my list is to make a dress version. I love all LN patterns but this is the one `i get most compliments on. The instructions are very clear to follow and there are so many variations that keep the pattern exciting and versatile. It’s a definite wardrobe staple.

  53. janamonin (verified owner)

This is a wonderful pattern, with many options. I especially love the sleeve options. The bias neck ties are a bit tricky with delicate fabric,(spray starch is very helpful) so I really like the option to leave the ties off if needed. I made a Rhapsody for my sister in-law for her birthday. She spanned three size ranges and needed the full bust option (I don’t, so I hadn’t used these pattern pieces before). I made the necessary adjustments from the instructions, and it fit her perfectly! I was so happy, and relieved to hand make her a beautiful garment that fit so well!

  54. Josephine (verified owner)

This is probably my most-worn clothing item in my closet. I love the blouse and have plans to sew a dress version soon. It’s the top I reach for over and over again.

  55. Heather Hahn (verified owner)

Beautiful blouse! Get ready for compliments. Sews together perfectly. The full bust peice worked for me in a 2x, my measurements are overbust 43, full bust 49. Waist 39.

  56. Jones.fred83 (verified owner)

I love this pattern! I love love-notions patterns. They always fit me I hardly ever need to make adjustments. I also love that they have every sleeve option so I can use it anytime. I also sew for others and these fit every size.

  57. Christine Creer (verified owner)

This is a brilliant pattern. I love buying bolt ends and this doesn’t take a lot of material. Highly recommended.

  58. Beverly (verified owner)

Fantastic top pattern! I love this top! I made the sort of bell sleeved version in a rayon twill that is so floaty and comfortable. It drapes nicely and I always get compliments when I wear it. As always Love Notions instructions are excellent!

  59. Kimberly Sitko (verified owner)

Made my Rhapsody! Loving it. Thank you Love Notions the directions were spot on 🙂

  60. Jane (verified owner)

A tried and true pattern for me. So easy and looks amazing. Even sized down and made a knit version this summer and it’s a solid favourite.

  61. Cynthia

I absolutely love the Rhapsody shirt/dress. I’ve battled to make something that fits nicely over the boobs and with the FBA got a very good fit. Love watching Karinas videos, she has been my inspiration to take my sewing to the next level by tackling any project. I know I can rely on her videos and learnt so much from watching her.

  62. Deb (verified owner)

What a wonderful, versatile pattern! I’ve made it in woven, stretch woven, and knit fabrics. So many sleeve options, too. It’s a stylish blouse for every season of the year, and so easy to make.

  63. Anne Schantz (verified owner)

Such a beautiful and versatile pattern! Lovely, flattering shape and pretty details, and easily made for either cool or warm weather. The “burrito method” video helps to clarify the yoke assembly, and I watched a video from Karina’s “Lifting Pins and Needles” channel that had more fun ideas to make it my own! I will definitely make more of these!

  64. tabitha.bernard (verified owner)

The Rhapsody Blouse is a beautiful make. It fits well and has lots of options. I have made 2 of them for myself, 3 for my mother, 1 for my daughter in law and 2 more lined up for her. It is flattering on all body types. I’ve done both short sleeved and Long sleeve bishop sleeves. It’s just one of those patterns that will become a go-to.

  65. Heide Fries (verified owner)

The Rhapsody is a pattern that can be what you need it to be. I made a lengthened version out of flannel and one with French terry for night gowns. They are super comfortable and get a lot of wear. I have also made a few tops that based on the fabric/print are casual or dressy. This is a great skill building pattern and easy to tackle with so many videos available on YouTube to show you how.

  66. sweetrthnsunshine (verified owner)

I love this pattern! Cute and stylish while still being comfortable. I’ve made two already and don’t plan on stopping there! The instructions are straight-forward and clear which makes this a pretty simple sew.

  67. Amy Sellers (verified owner)

The Rhapsody pattern is wonderful. I have made two and have plans for at least two more. I learned how to make and use bias binding, how to sew with crinkle rayon and rayon challis and how to finish a curved hem. I love to wear both of them. The sewing techniques taught in the pattern make the tops very sturdy and beautiful. I love the versatility with sleeve options from sleeveless to long bishop. You can make everything from a dress or summer top to a flannel nightie. I think it would be lovely with a tiered skirt. So on trend. Love this pattern.

  68. Hannah Benninger (verified owner)

Very versatile pattern. I love the full bust piece and the number of sleeve options.

  69. Lisa of Stitch It Again (verified owner)

I love that there is a neckline variation as well as many sleeve variations for this pattern. I like the gathers at the shoulder instead of bust darts which I often have trouble getting just right. The detailed instructions are superb. This is both an enjoyable pattern to sew and to wear!

  70. Roberta Yochim (verified owner)

The Rhapsody blouse is one of my favorite patterns. The instructions were very easy to follow. On the first Rhapsody that I made,I was a little apprehensive about working with bias binding. But by just following the directions it was a piece of cake. I had no problems. I love making this top and it is a go-to top in my wardrobe. I love it.

  71. Shirley Jarrett (verified owner)

So stylish with many options, I have made 3 Rhapsody tops to coordinate in my wardrobe & love them all

  72. Stephanie G (verified owner)

The Rhapsody Blouse is a fantastic pattern. It’s a beautiful and flattering silhouette with great sleeve options. This is my first Love Notions pattern. The loose fit of this blouse made the full bust front too big for me. The regular front fit perfectly. I’m so glad I made a muslin first. I will definitely make more Rhapsody Blouses. Looking forward to trying more Love Notions patterns.

  73. sally.stone (verified owner)

I just love this pattern: have made the top 4 times now but what has prompted me to leave a review, is that for New Year I just made the dress! I doubted if I would like it as much as the top, but I do…it was an easy ‘conversion’ and could be used in so many ways. The appearance of the garment changes dramatically according to the fabric so my four tops all appear quite different…well done Love Notions no wonder there are so many good reviews for this pattern.

  74. Amanda (verified owner)

I have made several versions of this pattern and the fit is great and I love the FBA piece I s included and I don’t have to adjust the pattern!

  75. Amanda (verified owner)

I have made several versions of this pattern and the fit is great and I love that the FBA piece is included and I don’t have to adjust the pattern!

  76. priscila_anunciacao (verified owner)

Wonderful pattern, so many options and it has great instructions. Highly recommend!

  77. Elaine Van Emon (verified owner)

I love this pattern. I’ve made it twice and can’t wait to make it again. So many sleeve variations! I want one of each.

  78. Chris (verified owner)

One of my all-time favorite patterns! I have hacked it to have shirred sleeve cuffs, closed keyhole in the front, My favorite hack is using FOE to finish the neckline and armholes (if making sleeveless).

  79. Susan Wilbur (verified owner)

I recently returned to sewing after a long hiatus and Rhapsody is the first garment I made. I liked the first blouse so much, I quickly made another!! This is a fantastic pattern!! Easy to follow directions and many, many sleeve options.

  80. angela919 (verified owner)

I have made two of these and another cut out. It sews up easily, I just took my time sewing around the neck line to make sure it was even and neat.

  81. Caren Augsburger (verified owner)

This is a great pattern when you need a dressier blouse instead of another t-shirt. I loved learning how to make my own bias binding for the neckline. I need one of every version now!

  82. robinposey (verified owner)

This is my most favorite top. It is so feminine and flowy in light weight fabrics but looks good in heavier weight fabrics such as mine in flannel that I wear alot in winter. It goes together so well and looks so finished as does all of the LN patterns actually. I am so happy I found LN patterns as they are the best out there. Thanks LN team!

  83. Maya Oya (verified owner)

Gorgeous pattern, especially for sheer fabrics. I’ve only made one, it was relatively easy, though the neck band is a bit fiddly and took me two goes. Keen to make more, though, they go really nice as a back up on a cool evening. Looks very classy.

  84. laurak4035 (verified owner)

Rhapsody is such a fun and flattering make. I just adore all the details and it looks so amazing on. This is such a versatile pattern; I have used it for all occasions from every day casual wear to special occasions and work functions.

  85. Rebecca Tromel (verified owner)

Maybe I’ll commit and say this is my favorite pattern. I mean, nine different sleeves? And you can make it into a dress? And it’s easy to lengthen or shorten? How could you not want this pattern?! If you don’t like ties dangling, leave them off, or criss cross them for a fun effect. See the blog for fun variations.

  86. Sam Wilson (verified owner)

Love this pattern. The top I made has been worn over and over again and I have plans to make it many times again. Already have the dress in my lineup.

  87. Lor M (verified owner)

Love this pattern. I always get compliments when I wear a version of it. I have used many weights of viscose and they are all fantastic.

  88. tinarklassen (verified owner)

Super cute with clearly written instructions. I love it so much that I’m half way through making my second sleeveless one and have plans for 2 more.

  89. mindyclagett (verified owner)

I made this as a dress with bishop sleeves out of rayon. I love how it looks a feels to wear. The instructions are easy to follow, and I look forward to trying other pattern variations.

  90. Maureen McCormack (verified owner)

I love this pattern. So flattering. I typically prefer simple tops and was unsure about the extra work of doing a lined yoke. But the pattern turned out so fantastic that it is worth it. I did size down from the recommended size. I also did a v neck hack with no ties. I have used a rayon challis and a poly swiss dot so far.

  91. ginnym1963 (verified owner)

This is a fabulous pattern. I’m not experienced sewing clothes for myself and wasn’t sure I could manage this pattern. I needn’t have worried as the instructions were clear and I achieved my first French seams and self-made bias binding and my “test” make came out perfect! So perfect that I’ve now made 3 Rhapsodies, each with different sleeves and from different fabrics to change the look and am planing to wear one to a family wedding soon – I may be addicted 🙂

  92. Donna Lewis (verified owner)

I can’t comment on the ease of sewing, since I’ve not made it yet, but it is beautiful, and I’ve been looking for woven shirt and bell sleeve patterns and this is the best one I’ve found. I’ve not yet made any LN patterns, but I’m looking forward to jumping in with this one (muslin first!)

  93. venice_it (verified owner)

Ohhh my goodness I LOVE this pattern. I fell in love with a ladies top on Instagram and it was sold out, so I searched online for a similar pattern. I found this one and tried it out, and oh wow it’s perfect. I love it.

  94. Elisabeth Hirschi (verified owner)

This is the pattern that brought me to Love Notions and it is everything I hoped it would be! So pretty and versatile!

  95. rossinjenny8 (verified owner)

This blouse was a dream to sew up. It went fast and I learned how to make my own bias tape and do the burrito method for the yoke!

  96. Anca (verified owner)

This is such a nice top, in my opinion, timeless! Also appreciated by my teenager, which says a lot! (you know, as opposite to what she sometimes qualifies as ‘granny look’ – major eye-roll!). I love the curved hem, the delicate tie and the cute V in the front.

  97. Kristin (verified owner)

Absolutely LOVE the rhapsody. I made the tank version first. I love love love it!!! Try it in Challis, you will love it. I can’t wait to make the dress version now with the update. The instructions are so easy to understand. I love how Love notions puts together a pattern. You have all the resources you need on how to assemble, fabric types, and alteration help. 5 stars!

  98. Corinne Cowper (verified owner)

Love my Rhapsody blouses. I’ve made two now. The first was a short sleeved fine lawn version which is just great for summer. I needed a between seasons blouses so my second paisley rayon bishop sleeved version was born. What is really great about this pattern is the clarity of the instructions, the ease of putting it together and the fit. The fit is just great. Thank you, Love Notions for a great pattern. I do have other LN patterns as well – all great.

  99. Carmal Hall (verified owner)

This is my go to all time favourite top. I have now made 8 in all types of rayon, great for our warm Australian summers and it looks so smart and be dressed Pinot down
Fabulous pattern, so easy to follow

This is by far my favorite pattern of ALL time. I have made…4 now. And since I’ve lost some weight, more are definitely on the way. This looks great on everyone.

The Rhapsody blouse hits all the fabulous buttons a blouse/dress can have!! The fit is wonderful, and it is so attractive on. I have made it four times, and have fabric on my table waiting for another two here soon.

  102. cabral_shana (verified owner)

Another favourite woven pattern. The fit is very feminine and flatters many body types. I love that full bust adjustments are included with LN patterns. The rhapsody is perfect for all seasons, a must have woven pattern.

  103. Jamie Wright (verified owner)

I love this pattern. Easy to sew and looks great on me!

  104. Donna Tiringer Brander Ent (verified owner)

I am rating my excitement to make this top! I’m fairly new and haven’t made it yet! Material is coming! Love the look of this top!

  105. Jill Chrencik (verified owner)

Just have to add my love of the Rhapsody pattern. It is perfect as designed, and there are numerous ways to change it up for all seasons and occasions. Most worn pieces in my wardrobe start with this pattern!

  106. mlgatward (verified owner)

The Rhapsody is an amazing stylish blouse, it is one of my favorite tops in my closet.

  107. jose fernandes (verified owner)

Love this pattern being a plus petite apple body shape I have made several dresses and blouses hacked them with different styles and they all are so flattering for my figure this pattern has become a staple in my wardrobe.

  108. Shirley Fulton (verified owner)

The Rhapsody top is my favorite blouse, instructions are so clear and depending on the fabric you make it in it is dressy or casual. I’ve made three.

  109. denisehoehns (verified owner)

I love this pattern. It was pretty easy and loved the fit!

  110. jlworden (verified owner)

I hesitated with this pattern because of the binding on the neckline but decided to try it out. I made SO MANY mistakes: cut the sizes wrong, the binding was a challenge at first, cut holes into the fabric when doing some trimming. But kept working through it and hacked the neckline so it was more of a keyhole, no ties. Figured I’d never wear it because of all the grief it gave me…but in the end, it was flattering, comfortable and really not that hard to sew. Live Notion directions are always spot on. Have fabric for a couple of more this summer.

  111. jennywood206 (verified owner)

I’ve made 4 of these to wear to work. It’s great and cool.

  112. Cathy (verified owner)

I made this with a guaze fabric, I love it. Very light weight and comfy. I am going to make more of this pattern.

  113. Kathy Norris (verified owner)

I made a crepe type fabric for me and it was horrible. Looked terrible on and couldn’t even post a picture on the support group for help!! But not wanting to give up on this pattern I made one for my daughter in a cotton blend using Tessa’s hack. Turned out great and fit her perfectly. I have decided that I should have made a large for me and I made an X-Large so I’m going to try again in a cotton blend. It is a great pattern.

  114. Ivy Bader (verified owner)

Great pattern. Good instructions. Pretty quick and easy sew. It’s in my selection of patterns to sew year round.

  115. Carrie Duwe (verified owner)

The Rhapsody pattern is a winner! I’ve made several versions including a dress. The design of the pattern is flattering and on trend. Lots of compliments when I wear any of them.

  116. ccjdixon (verified owner)

I love this pattern. I have made a blouse and also a dress changing the tie to a pussy bow with help from Karina (Lifting pins and needles)
. It looks lovely but is really easy.

  117. Diane Schlacter (verified owner)

Love this pattern. I mostly sew with knits but this woven pattern is my all time favorite. I think I have made 4 for myself and 2 for friends, and I have another in the works!

  118. Sandy Barrett (verified owner)

You need this pattern in your life! It is my favourite blouse pattern. There are so many sleeve options to choose from to create so many different looks. The body itself is lovely and loose fitting without looking like a sack. Great in a rayon/viscose for summer.

  119. lifeofjanine (verified owner)

This pattern makes such a lovely blouse! It’s well drafted, fits as it says it will, tapes together easily, and the instructions are good.

Depending on the fabric chosen, this goes from very casual to special occasion worthy. My first was in challis that is great for the weekend. The second was also in challis but with a geometric print, it’s suitable for the office. The third was in quilting cotton. For version four, I used silk charmeuse and that one is perfect for elegant dinners out. And finally, I made one for my mom in polyester.

For version six, I’ll add a high round back adjustment because it does ride back a bit on me.

    Absolutely recommend!

  120. denisehoehns (verified owner)

Very good drafting! Love my Rhapsody I made. Pattern is true to size. First one I made was spot on. I used quilting cotton. I have had compliments every time I wear it.

  121. andie.letourneau (verified owner)

This is my new favorite summer blouse. I’ve made 3 Rhapsodies so far (blue, mint green & lavender) using some textured polyester woven fabrics. I did a full bust adjustment on the front. I made one using the regular short sleeve and two using the flutter sleeve. The instructions are very clear and the pieces fit together perfectly. I love that the pattern provides a link to instructions for making continuous bias tape using a small square of fabric ~ I usually cut a 14″ square, which makes more than enough bias tape for the blouse ties.

  122. Karen Nelson (verified owner)

Beautiful and very feminine! That’s how my Rhapsody’s make me feel. The tie is kind of tricky so take your time to cut that piece very straight. I have 2 that I wear to work weekly.

  123. laurak4035 (verified owner)

An absolute all time favourite pattern! My rhapsody tops are the most comfortable woven items ever and the fit is just perfect. This pattern is perfect for both everyday wear and special occasions.

  124. shelley Kearney (verified owner)

This is a current / timeless and flattering top. Easy to sew even with the fiddly neckties due to superb instructions. I made on in a cotton which turned out great and a second in a more light weight viscous. I was worried the viscous would be too difficult to handle but it worked well. Fortunately I have lost a lot of weight which means I need to make some new Rhapsody blouses for the summer.

  125. christeldeann (verified owner)

I only have two dressy blouses in my wardrobe and both are Rhapsody tops. They are very flattering and I like that there are so many options. Another LN TNT!

  126. robine_30 (verified owner)

I LOVE this pattern! It looks so great inside and out with the french seams.

The bias tape on the neckline is tricky, but if you take a few minutes to hand-baste the bias tape in place, it goes together beautifully.

  127. becksterw (verified owner)

I love all the style options on this pattern. The instructions are really clear and the fit is great.

  128. Joanne Creech (verified owner)

This awesome pattern gained my confidence in sewing up wovens for the first time!! I completed a few of these as it was such a great pattern to make with cotton lawn or quilters cotton! Fits great and sews up easily with great instructions!

  129. Sally Holmes (verified owner)

Great instructions and lots of sleeve options

  130. lrain1 (verified owner)

I have made several of this shirt, next is the sleeveless version they are so comfortable to wear! The pattern went together very well, no issues.

  131. Lenore Baker (verified owner)

This pattern is so beautiful! I have made 3 and I have plans for more! It’s very flattering and easy to sew up🧵

  132. Rosanne (verified owner)

This is the best top pattern I have made in a long time. The built in full bust adjustment is a good thing for me. My first rhapsody was rayon and I have another one lined up to make in linen. Love Notion patterns are so easy to fit.

  133. Kathy Norris (verified owner)

Just made a rhapsody top with bishop sleeves and it fits perfect. So happy with it. Next time I will lengthen the sleeves a couple inches. I plan to make my next one from a stable knit. Can’t wait! Lovenotions patterns are the best.

  134. Karen Cott (verified owner)

This is one of favorite patterns. Great fit and easy sew. Love it!

  135. Kathleen Frame (verified owner)

My new favorite! The Rhapsody is so feminine and delicate! Made in a lightweight, drapy fabric, the Rhapsody blouse looks really custom! The little ties, the flowy sleeves, the beautiful neckline, all create such a delightful blouse. I’ll be making many more!

  136. Lisa Clark (verified owner)

I have made this 4 times now. Two for me and two for my daughter. I love this pattern and my next make with it will the the dress option for myself. Can’t wait! I am a medium level sewist and do both apparel and quilting. Also embroidery. I have made quite a few Love Notions patterns and am happy with all of them. Easy to follow, clear instructions. They look nice when completed and I am a happy camper.

  137. charmellewatkins (verified owner)

My favorite dress! I used Liberty Lawn for this and I LOVE this dress. The elastic is above the waist – and the look is very flattering. I never thought a woven would fit so well! Try this one today!

  138. mtngirlpaleo (verified owner)

This is, hands down, my most made pattern from Love Notions. I’ve made 5 different tops and two dresses, and they are just fantastic! The instructions are straight forward and easy to follow along. I also love the versatility this pattern has, the options are nearly endless!

  139. Tracy Feldmann (verified owner)

Oh Rhapsody, so aptly named. This blouse fits like a dream. I slightly modified the sleeve for a bit more taper, and added elastic shirting for comfort at the cuff. All my rhapsody blouses get a lot of wear.

  140. mommurri08 (verified owner)

This is one of my most used patterns! I love it, and so do my daughters!

  141. Sam Wilson (verified owner)

This is a very much favourite pattern of mine. I’ve used different sleeves and used hacks to change the neckline opening. It always turns out nicely and its always lovely to wear.

  142. Tabitha Mars (verified owner)

I have now made 2 of these as dresses in quick succession and have plans for a third! I found the pattern well drafted, the instructions incredibly easy and the overall style of the dress just fits perfect into my wardrobe. I love the flexibility included in both the pattern and then the additional hacks/ideas on the website such shirring the waist. Can’t wait for my next one!

  143. Terri Surrett (verified owner)

This was my first Love Notions make. I love the easy sew and fit. There are so many options for the neckline and sleeves. This is a very versatile pattern and I see many more in my future!

  144. Sue (verified owner)

It’s difficult to review Love Notions patterns when you have a few ( I have most of them) as basically you end up saying the same thing every time as they are great value whether you pay full price or an offer price at various times of sale, release promotion or feature Friday. As usual very stylish, several style options, helpful video tutorials for tricky bits or ambassador sew a longs to follow. Great instructions, and I have made more than one with plans to make more. I end up saying similar things for every pattern I own from love notions. I haven’t to date had one I haven’t liked.

  145. Luv SODA (verified owner)

Yes I have bought this pattern. I also love the options. I have more makes planned than time LOL I also love the hand holding support group Thanks Love Notions!

  146. Patricia Feyen (verified owner)

I’ve made two Rhapsody blouses, a sleeveless and 3/4 flare sleeve. I’ve been printing my patterns at home, then tracing. The instructions are very clear, with easy to follow illustrations. I have printed several other patterns, and look forward to many new makes with my Love Notions patterns!

  147. Madelaine Audibert (verified owner)

Its thanks to having Covid last year that I discovered Love Notions on YouTube. I ended up buying a brand new Singer sewing machine just so that I could make the Rhapsody Blouse. I am new to sewing but with all the online support I was able to make the most beautiful blouse that is so unique. This is my first love. Don’t feel intimidated by this pattern it’s really easy to sew. Just follow the instructions and the Sew Along in the Blog. This pattern gives you so many many options that is absolutely great. From a top to a dress. You can’t get better value for money than this. Thank you LOVE NOTIONS for the great patterns you produce.

I absolutely love this pattern! It’s simple to make, and so versatile! The instructions are clear, and the options to make it your own style are great. I’ve made it as a top and a dress, and I’ve also “borrowed” the bishop sleeve several times to use with other bodices. This one is a winner.

  149. rossinjenny8 (verified owner)

I made this pattern and was really happy with the way it turned out. The instructions were very easy to sew and I ended up with a very useable toile!

  150. Kathleen (verified owner)

The Rhapsody Blouse is my favorite thing I’ve ever made! It’s comfortable and beautiful. I’ve made two and plan to make at LEAST that many more. The directions are clear and construction is mostly easy. I struggled a little with the neckline binding on the first (because I couldn’t make it PERFECT), but did get it to work. On the second I decided to eliminate the binding and make a front facing instead, as I’d seen another sewist do. Either way, its a really pretty neckline. I love this pattern!
