I purchased this pattern to make for my mother. Sizing was perfect. And she loved it, especially the pockets. The pattern was easy to follow and the linked video was very helpful!

Clothes are always better with pockets, and these pockets look so nice! Assembly can be a little bit tricky but the instructions walk you through it well. Nice simple shape that will get a lot of wear.

  3. kendel

Love this pattern. All the patterns are so cute and comfortable. Hard to find that combination.

  4. Emily

I made my first Trendy Tunic with 3/4 sleeves a few weeks ago and it has been in constant rotation in my wardrobe ever since! The tunic length is perfect for layering over leggings and is work-appropriate for me. The pockets are fantastic. The shaping throughout is very flattering. I found the linked video on the pockets step to be very helpful–this was the only place where I got stuck! Otherwise, the pattern is easy to sew. I’m about to sew another!

I made the Trendy Tunic as a gift for my daughter. I was nervous about putting it together, but the video has been extremely helpful. That, combined with the instructions, made for a painless sew. The result is a one-of-a-kind tunic that I know my daughter will love. I will definitely be making more of these

I made the Trendy Tunic using a scuba knit and 3/4 sleeve. The Scuba does not drape well, so I slimmed the pattern down a fraction at the side seams and it looks fantastic. Every time I wear it someone always asks me where did I buy my top so they can get one. It was an easy sew, as the instructions are very clear, the pockets scared me at first but they were not as hard as I expected.

Love, Love, Love my Trendy Tunic! I am 5’8″ tall and add 3″ to the length. I also did a FBA. As such, I will remove some of the width from the bottom in future.
    It’s an amazingly comfortable top!

I call this my “comfort top”. It is just warm and cozy with a place to put my hands if they are chilly. I made my first with 3/4 sleeves, but I plan to make a long sleeved one out of french terry next!

  9. Kelly H (verified owner)

I love this pattern! I have made several for myself and my daughter. I was so happy to see that it was updated for long sleeves. These are perfect to wear on the days I volunteer at my son’s school. I love the pockets! I use fun cotton Lycra prints and I get lots of compliments.

  10. Abby (verified owner)

I like the design, but my sleeve was way too tight.

  11. Joan Ellis (verified owner)

Love this tunic. Made 2 in interlock. Pockets are so perfect, great to wear with leggings too!

  12. Charlotte Rutland (verified owner)

I’m only giving 3 stars because of the lack of alignment markings. I love the way the finished garment looks and hangs. The pattern was well drafted, but I hope if it is revised, that there are pattern markings included. It would have been much simpler if the bottom of the pocket was marked on the middle front and back pieces. On stable knits it might not be needed, but a stretchy knit, it is definitely worth taking the time to align the pattern pieces and mark on the side seams where the pocket bottom and top should be. I’m working on my second one and I am looking forward to wearing it!

  13. Carol

Wish it came with the different bust sizes like so many of the Love Notions patterns. I’m a beginner and having the FBA done for me is such a plust.

  14. Amanda Woodruff (verified owner)

Love the Trendy Tunic. I’m a school librarian & can always use more pockets! this pattern really looked great on every size model, so I took the leap. Made my first (but not my last!) with 3/4 sleeves and love how it looks.

  15. Hayley Denbraver (verified owner)

This is one of the first patterns I made when I started sewing knits. It was easy to follow and very satisfying to sew! I love the pockets. I have made one with a cotton lycra and one in a french terry. Both are great!

  16. Ziereis=Mullis (verified owner)

Such a cute pattern! I hacked it into a sleeveless dress, and it is perfect for going to the pool, running errands. Definitely a favorite!!

  17. Anne Whitney (verified owner)

Hoping the sizes are extended soon.

Made two Autumn/Winter tops, love how it comes together to give pockets, so clever.
