The pattern was very easy to put together and the wrap dress is gorgeous.

I love, love, love my Willow Wrap Dress! It is so very flattering, and breastfeeding-friendly dresses are hard to come by. Great instructions, great fit, great dress.

It is hard to find pretty brest feeding clothes but this pattern is awesome! The instructions are very clear and I love that it includes instructions for the modesty panel. And it is seasons friendly :)!!
Trista –
I love this dress. Being breastfeeding friendly is definitely a bonus.

I just made my 4th Willow Wrap Dress and I’m sure there will follow more. It is such an easy pattern and so flattering and comfortable to wear. I haven’t regret buying this pattern for one second. I’m comfortable enough now with making this dress i even offered my friend to make her one as well as she has a difficult size to shop in stores.

I haven’t had the chance yet to sew this up, but I can’t wait! I have some DBP on the way and I know it’ll look smashing!
Becky Hubbard (verified owner) –
The Willow Wrap Dress is my favorite Love Notions pattern (so far)! It is so flattering, and the instructions are easy to follow. I love all the options that come with it: the flutter sleeves and flounce add a feminine touch and are super simple to sew.

I made this one in a top format for the office, and it was a definite winner! Got lots of compliments! It was easy to sew, and I enjoyed that this was a slightly different pattern from my others . It hides my slightly broader hips a bit and accentuate my middle making it look thinner that it actually is 🙂

I have only made this pattern once and love wearing it. I did have a little fitting problem in that the bodice front left side that goes under the right side pulled where it was fastened to the side seam. I released the side seam stitching and it stopped the pulling. I will add some to this pattern piece when I use it again.
Brenda (verified owner) –
I love that this looks like a wrap dress, but I don’t have to worry about wardrobe malfunctions (the skirt separating when I sit)! Plus, the instructions are easy to follow.
Jaye Holland (verified owner) –
I just love how flattering this pattern is and the peplum top option is spot on! Love it!
Cara (verified owner) –
One of my favorites! The finishing around the crossover feels a lot more professional than using a band.
Lynette Schmitz (verified owner) –
I have made this pattern twice now. I love the fit of the crossover bodice top and the drape of the skirt is just right. I am so pleased with the fit of all of my Love Notions patterns.
Robin Twerdok –
My VERY first Love Notions pattern. How have I not made the top version yet? I’m going to be rendering that soon.
Beth StLaurent (verified owner) –
This is filed under dresses, but it makes one of my favorite tops! Such a flattering style and so many options for sleeves. Try the peplum top if you haven’t yet. It’s amazing!!!
Amy Evans (verified owner) –
The most flattering dress pattern ever for us curvy girls.!
Dianna (verified owner) –
This is by far my most utilized wrap dress! The fit is spot on!!
Deneane Keane (verified owner) –
The Willow Wrap dress has a neckline that can be made higher so I love that I can get that pretty crossover look, but it’s still modest and stays in place. I think this is a pattern that looks great on everyone!
stairs_ashley (verified owner) –
I love the option for a more modest neckline and flutter sleeves. ???? I’ve only made one so far but definitely have more planned in the future.
dmschindlbeck (verified owner) –
I’ve made 2 of these now. What a flattering dress! A very easy sew also. I’ve made a sleeveless version and a lined back version. So many options, my fave is the gathered bodice. The skirt portion has just enough volume without overpowering my 5’2″ frame. I shortened the skirt piece about 1 inch which gives me the perfect length.
Aimee Villwock (verified owner) –
I love the Willow! I’ve so far made two for myself and one for a friend, with another gifting one on my cutting table now. Flattering, forgiving fit especially with the different neckline height options. Simple to sew, but enough details to keep it interesting.
Kathryn Louisignau (verified owner) –
Super easy pattern, makes a lovely dress and no gaping at the top or skirt! Again, grateful for the full bust option! Win Win!
dmschindlbeck (verified owner) –
I love this dress pattern! I use the full bust piece to get a perfect fit. I’ve made 2 so far, one sleeveless and one with 3/4 sleeves. Went together very easily, I used a cotton lycra for both and they have nice drape with this pattern. I haven’t tried the flounce hack yet but it’s on my list!
Deb Carpenter (verified owner) –
I made my wedding dress using the Willow Wrap dress pattern and it is absolutely perfect!
I made mine in navy crushed velvet stretch, the shirt hung so beautifully and the dress was a perfect fit.
I can’t recommend this pattern enough!
eugenieruth (verified owner) –
Amazing dress, great pattern. Really flattering and easy to make.I’ve done 2 in Liverpool solids. So many compliments. If you’re thinking of maybe getting this pattern, just do it, I totally recommend it. I can’t wait to make it in other fabrics and prints. That I got it on the Feature Friday and a code from Karina’s (Lifting Pins and Needles) for extra discount is just madness. Every time I wear the dress or even think about making another one I have a big smile on my face.

I made 3 versions of this for my daughter when the family went to London for a sightseeing trip. Black stretch velvet for a visit to the American Bar at the Savoy: vivid purple more drapes velvet to the theatre to see Hamilton and a gorgeous abstract print of the NY skyline for afternoon tea. Everyone a winner! Gréât pattern for curvy ladies: a pleasure to sew: thank you Love Notions!

Brilliant flattering easy pattern
I have collected various wrap over dress patterns for my daughter who is in her early forties with a very curvy figure! It’s difficult now I have made this 4 times for her, to wean myself off this pattern. She has two in velvet: one black, one a deep vibrant purple: one in a palm tree pattern and one in some fabric which has abstract New York skyline images on it. According to the use, it’s easy to lower the neckline or raise it up. It’s been worn for afternoon tea at the Savoy Hotel in London: to see the musical Hamilton from the best seats in the theatre: and is equally at home either way. Cannot recommend it highly enough: lots of compliments for the seamstress when really, it’s an easy sew.

Love this dress pattern so comfortable and very flattering highly recommended

I love this pattern! I like that it includes two necklines depth, so I was able to choose a more conservative one for the dress I made for my sister’s wedding. The instructions are very thorough, but if you are a visual learner like me, I recommend watching the Lifting pins and needles. Finally, I love Love Notions Facebook group because everybody is very helpful and encouraging.

Best wrap pattern I’ve tried. Easy to put together, great instructions, very good projector file. I made the peplum and always get many compliments. Figure flattering.
anngrodzicka (verified owner) –
A really lovely dress. I made the version with the higher neckline and 3/4 sleeves and I’m so pleased with it. I will be making more!

I have only trialled this pattern but even in a plain mint Green night dress fabric it looked great, can’t wait to make it up in some lovely fabric.
powejj01 (verified owner) –
I made this in tea length for a more formal feel. Everyone loved it!

I love the pattern and my dress was great

The Willow Wrap dress is a fabulous pattern —- sew easy!! I am 5’3″ and must have a long waistline because I lowered it by an inch — very easy with the lengthen shorten lines. I also added a HRB to the back bodice. What is amazing is that other than those two alterations, this pattern was zip and go. There are two neckline wraps, one above, and one under the bustline. I made the lower one, and found it fit like a glove, no gapping!! I also added the ruffled flounce, and flutter sleeves. The fit is awesome, and the dress is gorgeous on. This will not be my last Willow Wrap!! LOVE IT!!

Easy to make and so very flattering ! The FBA is wonderful and it fits very well across the chest. I’ve made 6 so far with various sleeves/ruffles/skirt lengths and they all look great. Thoroughly recommend making this one.
Beth (verified owner) –
Such a flattering pattern, and an easy make! I love the way peplums look on pretty much everyone, and this didn’t disappoint even on my less-than-perfect size (cough cough). It was the 2nd or 3rd Love Notions pattern I made after the Laundry Day Tee, once I got my sewing legs back under me after a very long “break” from garment sewing. (30ish years!)

Hello Love Notions,
You made my day and I couldn’t be happier. I just finished my Willow Wrap dress in a black ponte knit. I included the neck flounce and chose long sleeves. It is dressy enough for several of my upcoming events during the Christmas season. The pattern was a dream to construct and the end result is exactly what I needed for my closet and for my mind. Thank you so much.
Very sincerely,
Jane

I made a Willow Wrap dress to wear to my son’s wedding. It is very flattering and comfortable. I felt beautiful. I made just a few easy adjustments, and the fit was perfect. As someone who normally can’t find a good fit in ready-to-wear clothes, I am so thankful that Love Notions offers so many patterns so that I can make my own in fabrics that don’t irritate me.

I was a bit nervous about the faux wrap part but the pattern went together really easily. Good instructions. Fit was very flattering.

Just purchased! Yey! I seen all the beautiful makes on our FB page & will pull the trigger. Going to make in a small floral print to hide my belly…wraps R flattering von every body type.

The Willow Wrap Dress is by far my favorite Love Notions pattern! It is so flattering, and the instructions are really easy to follow. I love all the options that come with it. Always receive plenty of compliments when I wear any of my Willow dresses. You won’t be disappointed.

I made it in cotton jersey, lengthened the skirt as a maxi and I love it! It feels elegant but so comfy at the same time. I am in between sizes, so I had to take the sides in a little and it solved the problem.
jazzy5376 (verified owner) –
This is a wrap dress that I really love to wear as the skirt is not open and the top does not plunge too low in the front. The instructions were easy to follow. I’ve made 2 for myself and another one for my dil!
Hannah Keller (verified owner) –
I think the Willow is my all time favorite LN pattern. This dress is so flattering. I was unsure about the wrap top, but after making one, I fell in love. I now have 3 in my closet and they are on constant rotation for Sundays! Love, love, love!

A great pattern to adapt to casual or more formal styling. I’ve made knee length. longer midi length and added a frill to the cuffs and bottom of one as well. All are exceptionally comfortable! Thanks Love Notions. X

This is a magic dress! It fits so well on any body type. My latest make was for my DIL’s birthday. She is a petite woman, so I made her the XS, raised the waist by 2″ to give her more of an empire styling (which she likes, to conceal the mum tum) and made the skirt according to the pattern. I shortened the length for above the knee and it is gorgeous! This pattern goes together so easily, and it is for sure, a sewing win!

I got this as it said it would be good for breastfeeding. I made the top version in size small, shortened using the lengthen/shorten line and used a stretch stitch on the neckline. I like my top, and the instructions for the sewing steps were great, but I did have a few issues.
Shortening was a bit of a headache. The pattern had no lengthen/shorten line on the back bodice piece, so I had to add one. I appreciated that there were instructions for how much to shorten, but with the lower neckline, there isn’t much to work with. If you are 5′ 0″ and follow the recommendation in the instructions, the side seam of the front bodice is shortened out of existence. At 5′ 1″, there’s barely a seam allowance left. I shortened for 5′ 2″, but I think my top would hold its shape better if the side seam was secured with more fabric. It would have been great if there was any sort of recommendation for that such as a maximum amount to take out.
I could also have saved ink, trees and time if there was a separate print file for smaller sizes – it was a bit frustrating to have to print and tape together several pages for a pattern piece that would easily have fitted on one or two pages. I also hate it when patterns list the same amount of fabric required for all sizes, because if I had bought the recommended amount I would have had a lot of waste.

Yes I have bought this pattern. I also love the options. I have more makes planned than time LOL I also love the hand holding support group Thanks Love Notions!

I am a confident beginner. I made a few minor and recoverable mistakes, but otherwise I’m super happy with the dress I made. I’m a member of a university concert band and I made the dress for a performance. I felt so proud wearing something I made. This is a wonderful pattern and very easy to follow. I love it!!!!
